Our Mission at Keowee Elementary School, in cooperation with home and community, is to challenge and enable every child to learn and grow academically, socially, and emotionally, within a safe and nurturing environment.

Our vision is to create a challenging learning environment that encourages high expectations for success through the development of appropriate differentiated instruction that allows for individual differences and learning styles. All learners are encouraged to be self-sufficient, responsible, cooperative and caring members of our community.

SDOC Announces 2022 4K Screening Dates

 Please call 864-718-5133 as soon as possible to schedule an appointment.

Families with children who will be 4 years old on or before September 1, 2022 are encouraged to schedule a 4K screening to determine if their child is eligible to attend an SDOC 4K program.

  • Apple no longer provides security or software updates for these models

  • Must be an Oconee County resident or SDOC employees to purchase

  • Must provide a valid SC photo ID** with an Oconee County address (driver’s license preferred) 

  • Limit of 1 per person in each car

  • Devices and accessories are sold as-is, while supplies last. All sales are final. 

NO HOLDS, PRESALES, OR EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE TO THE ABOVE REQUIREMENTS

SDOC Inclement Weather Information

This information is being sent as a reminder of the district’s inclement weather procedures. 

Any decision to move to eLearning will be made by 6:00AM.  

Announcement of a decision to move to eLearning will be made through the following outlets:

VirtualSDOC Courses Available to Students in 7th-12 Grade

The School District of Oconee County offers students in grades 7 through 12 access to virtual, asynchronous, high school credit-bearing courses facilitated by district teachers.  Courses are offered during the fall and spring semesters as well as during the summer.  

VirtualSDOC expands educational options for students who may want to graduate early, make room in their schedule to attend Hamilton Career and Technology Center dual enrollment classes, work a part-time job, catch up or get ahead on credits, or have a lighter course load during the school year.   

SDOC updates Mask Requirement for Buses

As the district announced last week, the SC State Department of Education re-instituted the requirement of face masks for students and drivers** on buses. School districts were given until August 30th to be in compliance.  The SCDE released a revised memo on Friday, August 26th, to clarify that  districts shall implement disciplinary measures for not wearing the mask.
